Export Data In Odoo

Odoo allows the user to export any kind of data from the ERP system. In Odoo, a generic export module is available as a standard and gives you a chance to access and extract information from the database.

Before performing an export module, it is a good idea to review the information that you need to export to make sure that it doesn’t contain any errors. If there is an error, try to determine them before you export the data. Otherwise, issues can occur during the export operation, and null values may be embedded into the worksheet.

Let’s have a look into Employee Data Exporting.

Go to Employees > Employees > click on ListView.

Here you can see the details of employees. Click on any checkbox placed in the left corner of each employee, which employee data you have to export.

Click on the Action drop-down button and choose Export option.

After that, a dialog box will appear with all the available fields in the employee data. You can select the required fields one by one. The selected items will be added under Fields to Export. You can choose Export Format either CSV or Excel. Also, click on the Save Field List and provide a name for the export data file(This is optional choice). While clicking on the Export To File button will export the resulting data to CSV/Excel file. Save the file into your system. In such a way we can export data in Odoo.
