Sales Coupon And Promotions in odoo 14

In marketing, coupons are the tickets or documents that can be redeemed for financial discounts. Same as that in Odoo, Sales Coupon in odoo 14 and Promotions are used to generate limited discounts for the customers. A sales coupon is a code that can be used only for one time. Coupon codes and Promotions are used to increase the sales of a business team.

Here we are going to discuss about how to use the sales coupon in odoo 14 and the promotions in our Odoo sales.

Configuration: First we have to install the Sales module in our database.

Enable Coupons & Promotions:

Go-to Sales > Configuration > Settings > Coupons and Promotions

Mark the Coupon & Promotions checkbox here. After enabling the Coupon & Promotions checkbox, We can see two sub menus under the Products main menu.

Setting up the Coupon Programs:

Go-to Sales > Products > Coupons Programs

We can see one Coupon program is already here. And by clicking the Create button, we can create new Coupon programs.

Here is the form to create Coupon Program,

Here we can set the Condition of the coupon and the discount amount. There is two options in the Apply Discount Filed. To mention the discount based on the percentage or the fixed amount. In the Reward section, we can set the coupon as either Discount or a Free product.

After filling up the form, we can generate the Coupon.

By clicking the Generate Coupon button, a wizard will pop up.

In the wizard, we can enter the number of coupons to generate. Click the Generate button.

Now we can see the generated coupons within the Coupons smart button. And click that to open.

This is the number coupons we generated. From here we can open any coupon and copy the coupon code.

Applying the copied Coupon code in a Sales Quotation or Sales Order:

Click the Coupon button and you will get a wizard. Paste the copied Coupon code here and click on the Apply button.

By applying the coupon code the Reward will gett added in the Orderline.

Setting Promotion Programs:

Go-to Sales > Products > PromotionPrograms

We can see two Promotion Programs already here. And by clicking the Create button, we can create new Promotion programs.

Here is the form to create a Promotion Program,

We need to set up the validity of the creating Promotion Program.

In the Reward section, we need to select an option from Applicability and Reward.

And here are two options in the Apply Discount Filed. To mention the discount is based on a percentage of the amount fixed.

Applying for the Promotion program in a Sales Quotation or Sales Order:

Click the Promotion button. By applying for the Promotion program the Reward will get added to the Orderline.
